A local lady has entered her cat Cherry in this competition and is donating 50%

Its all go at the Cnetre - the dog kennels are being renovated - and all the

grassed areas are gone!!!

We were lucky enough to receive a grant and have used the money to

concrete all the communal areas of the SPCA dog kennels. This means less

chance of disease spread - we are all very excited and hope to have an

"official" opening with a dog tea party soon - WATCH THIS SPACE

It always makes me happy when young kids turn up to the centre bearing gifts

for the animals-  especially when like Ashlee Martin (8yrs) of Blenheim had a

birthday recently and in lieu of presents - asked her guests to make a donation

to the SPCA The money she collected purchased dog food.

Congratulations Ashlee - we need more people like you and thank you from

the dogs
